COXTOWN, CO WATERFORD:

This house replaced a 1960’s flat roofed and sprawling bungalow, poorly constructed and designed even for the time. The extensive upgrading which would be required made no economic sense.
The house form, of one and a half storey, is based upon a simple economic form developed by Wigham McGrath and Partners during 2005. In this instance the 2 square forms were overlapped and given a central stair / atrium to provide a house of low impact but with spacious interior.

Accommodation consists of: Demolition of the existing dwelling house, and the construction of a new one and a half storey style dwelling house with Utility Room, Kitchen/Dining Room, Sitting Room, Family room, Study, 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 4 bedrooms within the upper level with stunning views of Hook head to the front and Comeragh Mountains to the rear.
